GAP now available for any New or Used Vehicle Loan
Announcing an Exciting New Benefit for our members: We now can offer GAP coverage on all new and used vehicle loans financed through AllCom Credit Union. GAP (Guaranteed Asset Protection) is a non-insurance product that covers the "gap" between your vehicle's value and the amount still owed on your loan, should your vehicle become deemed a total loss via an accident or if it is stolen and isn't recovered.
This extremely affordable coverage protects you, should a balance remain on your vehicle loan after it is stolen or totaled. An example of how GAP can help is illustrated below:
Original Purchase price: $ 25,000
Loan Balance after one year: $ 20,000
Insurance settlement covering
the vehicle's current value $ 16,000
Remaining unpaid loan balance $ 4,000
GAP would covering the deficit
and would provide $1,000 towards
a replacement vehicle.
Total GAP Benefit: $5,000
What a reassurance at a difficult time!
Ask a member of our staff to provide you with more details. This is an optional product. We will provide you with additional information about this program and there are some eligibility requirements associated with GAP.
